Please note: this teapot is unglazed. While completely watertight and sealed, the surface is difficult to scrub due to the texture, and I would recommend it only for brewing tea on its own, without sweetener or milk. It is most appropriate for brewing plain teas without herbal, fruit, or other additions, as these may effect the seasoning that builds up on the teapot. It is safe to use, just best-suited for a specific style of brewing.
