This course is for students who have already taken a beginner wheelthrowing course and are interested in expanding their skills in a concentrated, skill-focused manner. This round will focus on coffee sets, from the humble mug and saucer on up to filter cones, coffee pots, and specialized cups. Students will design and execute various shapes on the wheel with the goal of working towards a cohesive set.
 
This intensive is part of a series of workshop-style classes where we zoom in on particular skills and objects to give students time to explore particular subjects in a small group. If this subject isn't of interest, there will be a different topic in the early spring. 
 
Materials and cookies included! Students will have the opportunity to fire to 1200 or 1260, depending on studio firing schedule. 
 
PLEASE NOTE that the makeup policy has changed-- I no longer offer a dedicated makeup day. Students are free to join another class if there is a wheel available, but I no longer offer a dedicated makeup date.
