In this special weekend intensive workshop, ceramicist Bianca Cioca will take you through the first steps of learning to work on the potter's wheel. Suitable for total beginners or those coming back to the wheel after a long break!
 
Students will spend the weekend learning all aspects of throwing on the wheel, from clay prep, centering, pulling up walls, and finishing, through the trimming process. Over the course of the weekend you'll get to know the medium in a small,  intimate group with hands-on attention from an experienced teacher. 
 
Once your pots are trimmed and ready for firing, students can select a glaze and leave their pot with the studio to be finished and picked up in about 3 weeks time. 
 
This 2-day course runs from 10-16.00 on Saturday (with a 1-hour lunch break) and from 13-16 on Sunday at the Sensitive Boy studio at Vespuccistraat 35H in De Baarsjes. All materials are included, as well as tea and cookies. We do recommend you bring your own apron! You must be able to attend both days of class, due to the intensive nature of the course no makeup time will be possible.
